Lori Discoe is a creator, thinker, and lifelong maker. Her career spans decades of professional design, hands-on production problem solving, and formal education.
She brings a rare blend of rigorous academic training and real-world intuition to every piece. As a "recovering farmer" and avid gardener, her deep connection to the natural world fuels her focus on organic structures, technical precision, and hyper-realistic detail.

While creating at onepartART, Lori helps shape the next generation of visual thinkers. She served as a continuing education faculty member at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), she teaching courses in scientific illustration and design thinking. Lori also serves as the Chair for the 2027 Guild of Natural Science Illustrators conference in Golden, Colorado.
